No one understands you.
It is hard to talk to your friends and family without feeling like they think you are a burden and too much of an emotional mess. And conversations feel so draining.
They don’t get what it is like to be you. Sure, they want the best for you and would like to help, but they are too close to you to understand the depth of your struggles.
Additionally, friends and family members want to tell you how to solve your problems. And it is usually in the way they would solve their problems.
Their recommendations don’t help and lead to more distressing feelings of inadequacy, resentment, and frustration.
Therapy is different.
Therapy provides a compassionate, dedicated time and space where the focus is on you and your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. And no matter what you have done or what others did to you, you are worthy and deserve to be heard and understood.
Therapy is where you are welcome to unburden yourself from all the pain you have been holding in for so long. You can share it with me; what you share will not be too much.
I will not judge you because I’ve been there, done that, and heard all that before. And it will not deter me from wanting to know and help you.

How do we get there?
The way it works is to help you explore your early childhood relationships and experiences – allowing us to get to the core of your beliefs about yourself, the people in your life, and the world around you.
With this knowledge, you will learn how to navigate the early pain and suffering you experienced. We will also develop coping skills for when you get activated by your past.
Another benefit from the past exploration and understanding is that you will have much more clarity for your future. You will find answers to many questions, such as, “What is important to me? What do I want, and what is my purpose? Who do I want in my life? Will more become clear?”
You can become more empowered, fulfilled, and tethered to your life through individual therapy.
